Client: Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks
What They Do
Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks is a family-owned business comprised of 8th generation Vermont sugar makers. It was a dairy farm until 1966 when the Morses switched primarily to syrup production. As a destination for locals and tourists alike, Morse Farm offers free sugar house tours and tasting, multimedia displays in a real woodshed theater, a nature trail, country store, and an outdoor Vermont farm life museum.
What We’ve Done
After doing business online for years, the management team at Morse decided it was time to give their digital storefront a fresh new look, and improve the site’s overall functionality. Employees needed to more easily edit site content, add products, review performance metrics, and promote events. We also developed a custom WordPress plugin that links WooCommerce with their Mail Order Management system. This has helped streamline the internal order fulfillment process. In addition, Burlington Bytes was responsible for their Google 360 interior view, and we also spent the day photographing the grounds, as well as their products for use in Morse’s print catalog. We’re continuing to work with Morse on developing new tools for their online store, and advise on digital marketing strategy.
